C S Vallikanth
Born in 1972, Vallikanth grew up in the South Indian city of Coimbatore. It was at the age of fifteen when Vallikanth was initiated into the world of Jyotisha by his maternal uncle, Sri Veerabrahmendra Acharya, a Jyotishi and author, he has published commentaries on subjects concerning both Jyotisha and classical Telugu poetry. In the following years, Vallikanth pursued his keen interest in Jyotisha by drawing from various classical sources and commentaries of modern masters on varying elements of Jyotisha; amongst which included the foundational classic Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Sri Kalyana Varma’s Saravali, Sri Mantreshwara’s Phaladeepika and Sri Vaidyanatha Dikshitar’s Jataka Parijata. The teachings of modern masters’ Sri B V Raman and Sri Sanjay Rath have been significant influences as well.
Vallikanth pursued a professional career as a business executive for over twenty years, until 2017. During this time, he has lived and worked in four countries and travelled extensively, undertaking immersive journeys, exploring new countries, places and diverse cultures.
In 2019, following a period of deeply transformational and providential experiences, and with the blessings of his Gurudeva, Vallikanth embarked on a fully committed pursuit of Jyotisha.
Vallikanth is based in Singapore.
